Sunshine in her soul

.
We're trying to reinforce for Sarah the need to say 'please' and 'thank you' when she wants or receives something. So here's what happened today at lunchtime when Daddy was making lunch for her.

Sarah: "Juice!"
Daddy: "What do you say, Sarah?"
Sarah: *turning to Mom* "Juice, Mama!"

Hmmm...

Buddies!

People often ask us how Sarah is handling her new brother, and the answer is they both get along famously. Besides the normal eye-poking and occasional smack on the head, Sarah loves her little brother. Ryan beams whenever Sarah is around (as much as a 2-month-old can), and is fascinated by her. Here they are enjoying the "Rocka-rocka" together.

Here is a video of Sarah and the inspiration for today's post. Karen caught her singing while reading a few days ago. You might have to listen closely, but the song she's singing is "There is Sunshine in my Soul Today." It made me laugh.

Well, I couldn't figure out how to make the video go, so maybe I'll figure it out tomorrow. (Adam's note: Ok, I figured it today.)

That is an amazing little girl you have there! Did you teach that to her or was that just her picking it up? Emmy was good at songs, but the basic preschooler songs. And your little man is a handsome one! I'm sure he will get all the famous good Hill looks. :-)
